Having this drab, dowdy woman and her drab, dowdy daughter tag-team people's fashion choices (if that is indeed the point of this bizarre setup) is about as preposterous as having, say, Joan Rivers and HER daughter comment on the fashions worn by celebrities. Oh, wait...
I'm realizing that maybe Tommie comes off as so dull and uninteresting because she's actually living a very full and complex life offscreen with all of her never-before-seen friends. When she does appear in the comic, she's too tuckered out to do much.
On Sunday, why does Gina looks likes she's in some kind of existential trance? Why didn't Ruby let Margo and Lu Ann in on the plans? So many unanswered questions! I agree with D.B. Echo -- there's more to Tommie than we know!
