FINALLY, the deer speaks up! Probably has a stomach full of mattress coils. And Jim is... not surprised at all? Have they had long international phone calls on their land lines about how Tommie is a foster doe? Because my reaction to "bleat... bleat..." would be "wwwwwwwhat....! Was that!! Is there a sheep in this apartment??" accompanied by bulging eyes and muscular tension.
P.S. Why is this guy not speaking entirely in stereotypical British slang? Has he said one British thing yet? I mean, why even make him British if he's not going to say things like "blimey" and "dumbledore" all the time?

Pretty and Sweet
This whole saga seems to be aging Marty. She went from awkward tween to attitude-wielding young adult/the same age as Lu Ann. Marty's rage is segmenting her hair, it's only a matter of time before that front strand rises up in defiance. I really hope that Tori is outside the gallery, watching her protege in action and laughing maniacally.

Cole's Kitchen
Uh oh, the voices in Lu Ann's head are starting to laugh? That's usually a bad sign. Also, swiveling your head and banging it against the wall. Maybe it's time for another three week long conversation over coffee.

Super Cool
"Tori, this place is awesome! You've got it all! Two squiggle prints, a floating lamp shade and heavy draperies! Did you hire a decorator or did you do it yourself?"
Oh Marty, you should have known that Tori was way too cool for you. I mean you wear glasses. Hasn't popular culture taught you that young girls with glasses are hopeless nerds yet? Now why don't you run home and play with your chemistry kit and leave the rebellion to the cool kids.

Zingers
There's so much to make fun of...satire brain cells overheating!
1) "I liked all the blue paint colors on that swatch, so I painted one wall each color. It's fashion..."
2) "Hold still...I'm just randomly pointing this camera in your general direction. It has a viewfinder, but the shot will be more high fashion if I don't look through it."
3) "MOTHER OF ALL THAT IS HOLY!!!! The light...it burns...IT BURNS!!!"
4) Zoey's got a real delicate way with her clients.
5) I'll bet Zoey bought that gown from a Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman costume department trunk sale. It's prairie chic!
6) "Hey, there's my girl! What a coincidence that I would find you at exactly the place and time of the appointment I made for you/have been receiving a live stream of pictures from!

Desperation
Now I know Doris doesn't own one of those newfangled television sets (for heaven's sake, she doesn't even go to see those talkies everyone's always going on about), but you'd think she would have at least seen a photo in the newspaper of her own state's Governor... I guess when all men look essentially alike though, it's hard to keep track.
Meanwhile, Peter, what happened to the 3-day rule? Even Lu Ann is saying (not in so many words) "Wow, this is a pretty desperate move."
Side note: What happened to Doris??? She aged rapidly. Maybe she's just losing her eyesight and I should go easy on her.

Nightcap
Okay, so for those of you who didn't check out Saturday's strip on your own...
Saturday April 20, 2013
...Lu Ann won. Wooooo. She looks thrilled.
Monday April 22, 2013
So then, Governor Sleazy McTroggerson pulls the ol' over-the-shoulder nightcap offer. Is it just me, or is this wildly inappropriate bordering on gross? Is this how Governor Cuomo operates? If I had been going for the same prize as Lu Ann, and I saw them all cozy before and after the ceremony, I'd be pretty mad. And if I was Lu Ann, I'd definitely be really skeeved out. And if I was Margo... well, I guess I'd be circling the Governor like a shark, if this strip is any indication.

Oh, Honey...
Ohhhh, honey. Yeah, not only does she allow Margo to walk all over her, but apparently all it takes is a few well-place compliments and she's all over Evan. Evan, of all people. Well, maybe he gave her a really good neck massage...

So Many Questions
Is Greg saying that because he thinks that he caught Margo and Evan consumating their illicit interoffice relationship, or because he's finally realized that Margo doesn't require food, only fresh human souls as nourishment?
So is this going to be some sort of love triangle? Plus Evan, who may be manipulating Margo as part of some diabolical revenge scheme of his maiden aunt? Does that make it a love parallelogram? Or a triangle with a weird dot giving it an inappropriate neck massage for unknown reasons...

Greek Mama
First I thought Greg was macking on Margo. Then I thought he was all excited about Lu Ann. Now, with one of the most whiplash-inducing swivels I've seen in years, we see what Greg truly desires: a Greek mama. "Your WHAT mama? Is she coming? Will she be at the table?? There's always room for one more!" Except, of course, there isn't.

Recap
Friday, August 31st
In addition to his inappropriate grabbing, he's also got his gorgeous chisled nose in everybody's business! What a dream boat! It's amazing that Margo still has her clothes on...nothing like falling for a client on the first day of your new, expensive-to-start-up business.
Saturday, September 1st
Am I crazy or did Greg just imply that Lu Ann and Margo are lesbian lovers? Not that that is a ridiculous assumption after living together for decades, but we all know that in the A3G world a yellow hair and a black hair cannot be together! Also, he made a Seinfeld joke! I hope Frank wrote that royalty check to Jerry...
Monday, September 3rd
Surprise! It's Tommie! Remember her? Did Greg just teleport out of the office? How did he get past Lu Ann in the door? Or is he just lurking in the shadows awaiting his next appointment with Margo...
Tuesday, September 4th
It's the Professor!! When was the last time when saw him? I'm so glad it's not Tommie, I hope she's working doubles in the maternity ward for the forseeable future. I wonder what this crazy academic has been up to?

Box of Baloney
Thursday, August 23, 2012
Oh man. New-Trey's hair may have gotten boring, but at long as he keeps getting Margo to say stuff like "box of baloney," I think he's a keeper. Plus he's mastered the bobble-twist! An A3G classic.

Waiting Game
So I thought that I could beat out Maggie in a waiting game by not posting on Saturday, but she beat me by not posting yesterday. Touché, Mags, touché.
Friday, July 27th
Is it really necessary to have a door bell with five rings? Especially when no one visits you and it's only used by your long forgotten third roommate. Also, did Margo become Stretch Armstrong in the second panel?
Saturday, July 28th
That is the most laconic trip recount of a five-month road trip with the woman who you always thought was your aunt but turned out to be your mother and you were going to visit the people who you always knew as your parents/siblings but now are your aunts/uncles/cousins. No funny trip stories? "Ruby took a joke photograph at Mount Rushmore where it looks like she's picking George Washington's nose!" How about "We had really great weather!" Anything? Oh well, back to Tommie/Margo.
Monday, July 30th
Are you Rick? You look just like my roommate's ex-fiance Paul Linski. Even down to the white shirt! I hope I didn't interrupt you supervising these guys working on supercomputers, but I have an ANNOUNCEMENT...for tomorrow.
Tuesday, July 31st
Come on Rick, we all knew there would be a but. Mild mannered nurse/midwife Tommie Thompson throws away a stable middle class life for fame and fortune with Rick and DJ Dan Diller? I spin babies now, not records. I hope Aunt Iris can get a good price for that piano on eBay.

Maternal Positioning
Thursday July 5, 2012
Looks like Nina was pretty much ready to accept death rather than suck it up and get in an ambulance. The lovable little scamp. So what is this radical third option?
Friday July 6, 2012
Maternal positioning! ....what the heck is that? Scott doesn't even know, and he read the books. I am somewhat mad that A3G is making me learn things, but I can't be TOO mad when my research takes me to a website called "Spinning Babies.com." Go on, click on that link and take a look at those lists of maternal positions. Which ones do you think Frank Bolle will try to not illustrate?

Ruby-Watch
Ruby may be unphased by the oft-hurtful "are you her mother?" comment, but her world has been rocked by Lu Ann's unbridled thoughtlessness regarding the design of her wedding dress. It is a little surprising, Lu Ann seems like the kind of gal who dreams about her wedding day... and in fact, she has been married before (Lu Ann Powers, nee Wright), so that should give her a few thoughts about how to approach the event. But nooooo, she had to throw Ruby into a swively, bobbly catatonic state. Just look at her.
Will she ever recover? We can only watch and pray.

Today's the Day, Ladies!
Oh boy oh boy oh boy, you guys. It's time for Art Without Rules!! And... somehow Lu Ann is involved? I mean, I didn't even know that, and I'm fairly certain I keep better tabs on Lu Ann's life than she does. Well, you know the first rule about Art Without Rules: there are no rules! Which means you can assign your roommate to head up the event without telling her and then get mad when she doesn't come through. Yes, you can do that, and it's okay, because there are no rules! Ha! Isn't this great you guys? Tommie, I hope you didn't forget that Margo secretly expects you to cater the event... without rules!

The Lovely Guy of Hoboken 3G
Lu Ann, you dummy! Margo can tell you're baiting her! She knows you want her to throw a hissyfit so you'll have to come to Paul's defense! Now instead she's going to play it cool and congratulate you, causing you question whether you liked Paul so much just because Margo didn't. Which is all well and good but I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO THE HISSYFIT, and I'm afraid you ruined it.P.S. None of this upstages the fact that Paul is "a lovely guy."

Nina
Why, Lu Ann with bangs! What are you doing here? I hope this is what passes for Nina Garcia in A3G-world, cause I am just as pumped as anyone for the new season of Project Runway and I would love to hear Margo's ideas for cross-promotional opportunities. Better get Klum on the line.

Money
Trey, don't lie. You talked to Margo about where the money's coming from. Or don't you remember this little conversation?
Anyway, thank goodness Margo's coming to crash this party. There's only so many times I can point out STU IS NOT IN THE ROOM, why did they bother setting it up like he would be??
