Oh my god, fine, just go! Quit yammering and get moving! I hope that the waiting room is chock full of A3G legacy characters that are there to visit Margo, so we have a last glimpse at Marty and Cole and Aunt Iris and Dan Diller and Bobbie Merrill in a Hannibal Lecter mask. Of course, they'll all look identical at this point. Even Lily. The last strip is going to be one big electric blue and carnation pink blur.

My new theory, which is mine, is that the strip will end with all the characters fusing together to create a higher being capable of spanning the boundless dimensions of eternal reality, and this evolved cosmic entity will then ascend to Apartment 4-G.
It will look like a blob of creamed spinach.
Sacrilege!
That Godlike being is Lampy.
Creamed spinach? Nah. It'll look like a Breakfast Bowl from Diner.
I think this is all taking place in a snow globe, a promotional snow globe given away with the Boys on The Block (featuring Rick E.) Christmas album.
When the strip concludes and we pull back from the snow globe, we see it being held by hobotramp Dan Diller, who gets hit in the head by a golf ball. He slumps over and then Lily the deer eats his face off.
Maybe we'll at least see LuAnn? Maybe?
The last strip will be a double wedding, Gabby/Martin and Margo/Eric--or maybe Greg--in Margo's hospital room. Or the street. Or the diner. Diane Devine will officiate. There will be no guests because Frank can only draw two characters per panel.
You guys are too harsh. I'd say the writer is doing a very good job of wrapping the story up with a detailed exploration of the motivations of the strip's sole protagonist Eric, and his feelings for the princess he's here to rescue. Why is this strip called Apartment 3-G again? Is that where he lives?
You guys!! You are the reason we're seeing this through to the end. Love the creamed spinach theory and the Boys on the Block reference. And fauxprof: of course you're right, with only two people in any given frame, the possibility of a double wedding or a crowded waiting room is prettttty low.
P.S. the most likely character to make a final appearance out of all those proposed is probably Lampy, fingers crossed Downpuppy!
A "hospital room" full of the beloved cast of Apt 3-G crowded around Margo's "hospital bed". A nurse enters with a beautifully wrapped package and hands it to Luann. Luann gives the card on it to Tommie and begins to unwrap the box. Tommie reads the card "To Margo, all my love forever, Evan" Margo's eyes suddenly open wide as she jumps up in bed--"Luann!! Don't open that pack.........", and the last panel nothing but a black rectangle, nothingness, the void, FINIS.
This is the way 3-G ends

Not with a bang but a whimper
Hubba, hubba, Obtuse, I LOVE IT! Bring back Evan Graham and his shenanigans!
Bring back Carol Collins and all of her snark! She'd kick things up a notch! BAM!
I'd also like to see Lu Ann making out with "that smug creature" Mike Downey, right next to Margo's hospital bed, so Margo can say, "Get a room! You guys push all my buttons!"
Sigh! This is making me sad ... *sniff*
I don't think anyone told Shulock and Bolle that the strip is ending...
SATURDAY
Panel 2 of today's strip is definitely heading toward the strip melting into electric blue and carnation pink and nothing else. The background is now only solid blocks of color. Does this symbolize/foreshadow the coming Tibetan mind-meld (body-meld, too? Pretty please?) of Tommie and Eric? (Since he's giving up Margo, it wouldn't be cheating.) Still waiting for the excitement to start ...
I see Taser Lady rushing in and knocking them all out. "3G is mine, and so is the piano!!!"
I'm hoping Margo's coma was just a performance art piece orchestrated by Queen Bee.
