Keeping Busy

Oh my god. I leave for vacation during the most eventful two weeks of the strip in months (the Margo-Greg confrontation! the return of Mike "Mr. Six" Downey!) and yet the day I return to blogging, Tommie returns to snooze everything up. THANKS, TOMMIE. It's like a never left.

(By the way, for those of you interested in my travels in Japan, I posted photos on Instagram: https://instagram.com/maggiemoros)

EDIT: I meant to say this when I originally posted (I blame jetlag for forgetting) but thank you all for keeping the commentary going in the posts! I actually read your comments before reading the strips and it got me really excited to catch up. Otherwise I might've milked my vacation from blogging through the weekend/month of June.

Welcome back, Maggie, hope you had a great time. A bunch of us kept the daily commentary going. How do you DO it, girl?

Query: why does LuAnn appear to be whispering to Tommie? And what are either of them doing in Martin's hotel room?

I have no idea why everyone is drifting into the hotel. Only hopes that involve strawberry jam, whipped cream and Margo with Extremis (Iron Man 3 version)

I just did a closer reading of the strips I missed and....... yeah, what the heck, why is everyone at the hotel?! Who will appear next? Diane Devine? Lily the deer? Taser Lady? Is this even Martin's hotel, or is it just "the hotel" where Mike and Lu Ann's frequent rendezvous take place?

Welcome back Maggie. Looks like you had a fantastic trip! Now explain why Tommie appears to be knocking at the lobby door of a hotel. Doesn't she know you can just walk in? Or is this Martin's room and Mr Six just freely admits visitors to guests rooms when they're not around?

So according to the latest comic, Tommie is not only working as a nurse again (after her sudden and very long hiatus) but is now in the NICU?! Yes, let's give a totally unpredictable and clearly insane employee one of the most sensitive and important jobs in the hospital.
