the correct percentage of New Yorkers wearing hats based on the evidence of these two panels is 6/8 = 75%. I can't believe you got this wrong!
DA-AD! First of all, you commented on the wrong day. I know that's going to burn you up later.
Second of all, my ratio was based on incidental characters only, including those in the middleground (brown, 6 out of 7 wearing hats) and in the background (black shadowy figures, 1 out of two confirmed hat wearers, although the one on the left very well could be wearing a hat). So 7/9 = 78%. I'm just trying to be thorough! That's what all that fancy book-learning taught me!
