Oh. Uh. Oh no. I feel embarrassed. They've made Lu Ann look like some kind of saloon girl. Wearing a toga. It's like looking into Ruby's past as a sorority girl (Chi O, I bet). Or like Lucille Ball before television, when she was scraping by in B movies. Well, Lu Ann, I hate to admit this, but you were totally right, you shouldn't've taken a risk on a new look, because now people are going to see you from behind and think you're Tommie. And that will really be upsetting.Meanwhile Kat, that sadist, is reveling at twisting the knife in panel three--she suddenly looks high and/or possessed. Kat feels it. She knows. This is her year. Emmy is right around the corner.

Wasn't Margo, and now it's not LuAnn. These are all stand-ins in Kat's Emmy plot!! Geez, who does she think she is?? The Emmy tears will be flowing before you know it... she's been watching too much DQMW, clearly.
Wow, I seriously feel bad for poor Lu Ann (if it is the real her, honestly I can't even tell since the way she and Margo look so different now), look what they did to her! She looks so unlike herself and it must be killing her from the outside in, she's gonna die a little every time she looks in a reflective surface.
But to be honest it looks kinda cute. If Tommie's hair looked like that it would make her more updated to say the least.
"And we love those curls, don't we Margo? Don't you wish we had given you curls instead of straightening your hair? Don't you wish you had Lu Ann's curls? You could have them, Margo. There's a knife right over there. Why don't you take them, Margo? And make sure you take her scalp, too, so they all stay in place!"
