Critical Care

"If something happens to Margo, I won't know what to do with myself.  I've been following her orders to the letter for the last thirty years.  I'M INCAPABLE OF INDEPENDENT THOUGHT AND ACTION!  You have to save her Sylvia!"

You must be a... real... special... friend.

The nurse breaks it to Tommie:

"When you talk to people, do you find they do this a lot? "Uh-huh, yeah, fine, un-huh, yeah, Mmmmm."

"That's because they're not listening. When your friends see you, it's actually they're doing you a favour. You're like a sort of Charity for them, it's their way of giving something back."

She must survive for I cannot exist without her. Have you noticed how the story lines are all about her lately? I've given up my dreams of being a recording artist to take this job so I would be here when Margo is in a fire. It all seems to coincidental. I better make sure she pulls through so I can perhaps have a doomed relationship with a man, maybe this summer. Margo will tell me how silly I am and that he is no good. Then we'll be back to her life again.

Whoa, I just want to say--the ghost people in the background have PARTICULARLY jaunty hats in today's strip. Just saying.
