Bolle figured the depiction of the most boring character doing the most boring thing would put his readers in a coma, thinking it would be best to just briefly allude to her off-strip.
Tommie will probably make her entrance tomorrow as a Shulock-style 'surprise'. Her v-neck dress will be blue since lavender and pink are already taken and green would clash. Ho hum.
It's more fun to think Margo knocked Tommie out with roofies to reduce competition for the alpha male... or just because.
Wait! Are they at the party already? Or are tiny blue people in their apartment? Or are the tiny blue people in the hallway outside A3-G's door?
The white walls* tell me that they may not be home anymore, but that would mean the eligible Governor collects Lu Ann's green squiggle paintings. It would also mean Tommie is unconscious at a party or that Margo is being sarcastic.
I get a laugh from this strip by imaging everything Margo says is sarcastic ("How did I get so lucky, Greg?"). So,today is especially confusing. If I'm imaging sarcasm which turns out to be real, am I really enjoying the strip?
Maybe Anonymous is right and Margo's line is a set up for Tommie to make a grand entrance. That would be a bland enough explanation for A3-G. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
*Or maybe it's a white mist in which people disappear!
GUYS, I just got it. The girls have a portal directly to MoMA in their apartment, Narnia-style. The simplest solution is usually best.
LitW: Alexander McQueen! That is stunning. Bet it cost Margo a pretty penny, but business is simply BOOMING, what with her two clients, neither of which probably pay her.
It must have taken them at least an hour to look sooo stunning! And they're just now asking Tommie to come along - in her scrubs, no doubt! IMO, following Tommie in her nursing career could be more interesting than shallow Margo.

It was typical Margo to not even acknowledge her blue three-way partners as she left with Lu Ann for the party.

Ha ha ha! They're supposed to be at the Museum of Modern Art!
Can't stop laughing. This strip is hilarious!!
As for long sleeve purple dresses, here you go, Maggie!
Maybe Margo bought the Alexander McQueen number and that's why Lu Ann is calling it 'stunning'...

@Marge,
This is where it gets really funny: the ladeez are *already* at the party! That much is obvious from today's caption.
So, Tommie is at the party and is *sleeping*... or LuAnn and Margo are hallucinating again! Either way, hilarious!!
