Peter draws Lu Ann close and... Lu Ann wriggles away somehow! As
Ken alluded to in the comments yesterday, there appear to be several parallels to the doomed
Linski group proposal, but I think Lu Ann is wise to it this time and she's trying to cut him off preemptively. I mean, guys: would you propose to your special someone if they said, "You're scaring me" every time you tried to be intimate?

I'll tell you what's scaring ME. That dress! How does it stay up. Those hordes of little blue people - are they waiting for a wardrobe malfunction?
He is scaring her because of his now tiny forehead and body posture. I'm a bit scared also.
Yell "Stranger Danger!" and run away Lu Ann. Just hold your dress up.
@ Elaine: I can just see it: one of Luanne's "girls" falls out just as the Gov pops the question in front of a ballroom of dignified guests. A complete silence falls over the room with the exception of Margo's drunken laughter from far in the back.
This would be the finest moment in A3G history, except I can't imagine what Franks attempt at pixilation would look like.
@Barking Monkey: oh my god. Why aren't you writing this strip??
I'm fairly new to this strip. Does every guy that Lu Ann casually dates end up proposing to her in front of an audience?
@Anonymous: Yes. Lu Ann has that effect on men. It may seem strange, but I've seen it in real life. It's nobody's fault, just a simple biochemical release of endorphins, dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin. Poor bastards. They can't control it and she's oblivious to the effect she has on them.
