Maybe instead of resolving any of the ongoing storylines, one aspect of the background/characters will disappear until the last day when all that's left is a blank panel. It will be a fitting end.

What's Tommie so sorry about? She's been such a spaz since Eric showed up. If they weren't ending the strip in a week, I'd say they're trying to build some kind of emotional connection between these two. But the strip IS ending, so BACK TO THE THYROID STORM, I SAY!
