Any Ideas, Jack?

Still looks like they're drinking. Hahaha! My reaction exactly, Margo. Look how calm and poised she looks in the first panel, and then how intensely worried she looks in the second. I'm going to go out on a limb here, Jack: do you think Lu Ann is perfect for the job because she's the only artist you know? Because I'm sure you could find a couple more in New York friggin City.

Margo has some pent up anger about LuAnn. Monet and Van Gogh painted flowers too, Margo. Was Tim the curator before he got avalanched? Also, does the curator really need to be an artist? I thought it was just someone who ran things. I can honestly say that in the time I've been reading this strip, AKA how long Maggie's blog has been up and running, I've only seen LuAnn like three times, so I hope to get to know her better.

You don't want to get to know LuAnn any better. She's probably the dullest of the three (and that's saying something). She comes from a small town in west fly-over state, a girl raised on a farm who fled to NYC for unexplained reasons. Her family seems to regard her as an escapee, not that they were ever particularly interested in her - preferring her brothers. Her family all seem to wear those corny neckerchiefs and her cousin who lives in NYC looks like the gay hustler played by Jon Voigt in "Midnight Cowboy".

LuAnn also seems to have no ability to discern bad people like druggies. She was "dating" a fellow artist who was a drug seller in his spare time. LuAnn never picked up on any of the guy's bad qualities, not that she would know what to look for. He was the cleanest-cut dope seller ever.

Oh, and the woman who runs around Manhattan looking like a deranged cleaning lady is also her cousin from "back home".

LuAnn is a complete waste of space. The only one worse may be that psychotic bitch, Bobbie.

Alan was the last curator of the gallery, right? He was an artist. I guess they like their curators to be art savvy. Then again, the last time they had an artist for a curator, he developed a terrible drug habit, stole money from the gallery, and eventually soaked the floor with his own blood shortly after destroying all his work.

Plus yes, he was dating Lu Ann at the time! So I'm sure Lu Ann will welcome the job with open arms.
