An Extra Scoop of Charm

Gee, Lu Ann! I don't know if I would've characterized that as a "nice chat about art," or Governor Trog as an extra-scoop-of-charm-possessing kind of guy. I would've said something like, "I don't know, he was kind of weird, just kind of screaming about how he doesn't get art. So I was like 'uh, that's a Jackson Pollock,' and he was all like 'WOW, you're soooo smart!' and I couldn't tell if he was being like sarcastic? or maybe he was hitting on me? But yeah, on the upside, he doesn't give a crap about the New in New York thing, so I think I'm gonna get a thousand bucks out of this!"

How does she define an "extra scoop of charm"? This is Soap Land, where every man you meet is destined to sweep you off your feet for a brief and bland affair. EVERY GUY YOU KNOW HAS CHARMED YOU. Probably including your cousin.

Is this conversation taking place on stage? Frankly the most interesting component of this strip is the rapt audience of blue people who are clearly eavesdropping over Margo's shoulder in the first panel.

I wonder if Frank Bolle reads this blog. Margo's dress today looks like the Alexander McQueen number I posted last week! At any rate, today's dress is closer to 'stunning' than the Hanes for Her number she was wearing before.

@Mark, the blue people are so well dressed, also. Pearls, bowties, 1970's tuxedo...

Thanks to everyone for pointing out the absurdity of thinking that a difficult interaction with a creep is not the same thing as "a nice chat" even if he's the Governor. Also, it's creepy to describe a creep as charming in any way. Oy.
