Fancy-Schmancy

Nothing says fancy-schmancy like a crew neck Hanes tee.  I don't know what I really expected the A3G "Museum of Modern Art" to look like...do I even have expectations for this strip any more?  If I do, what does that say about me?

I guess having all the artwork neatly framed and accented with decorative ficuses (ficusi?) is probably pretty close.  I guess Queen Bee wasn't available for a performance piece/the sculpture wing is closed?  The Cialis commercial couple in the background is way more interesting than Margo complimenting (what is happening in the world?!?!?) Lu Ann.  They're admiring art!  They're dancing!  They're ready for when the moment is right!

You can tell Margo's wearing a dress because there's not a big old collar on it.

Seriously, that's the only cue.

Megan, don't worry. Margo's compliment contains the insinuation that Lu Ann is vain, so all is right with the world!

LOL! As substandard as this strip is, I still expect basics such as the characters' outfits remaining the same from panel to panel or for the locations to be somewhat in touch with 21st century reality...

I guess I'm just naive!

P.S. I think the plants are green petunias, a rare and delightful species found only in Frank Bolle's imagination!

Exciting news! Lu Ann has met a troglodyte at MOMA!!

Man, Cialis couple, get a room! Or a bathtub, I guess?

Inkwell: that comment mad me laugh out loud. You know, some day there will be a new artist, and no more gigantic collars, and that will be a sad day for me.
