Smooth as Silk

Oh my god, what is WRONG with these ladies? Something is getting lost in translation, because I would say this guy is coming off more lazy and petulant than smooth. Am I wrong on this? Is this smooth? Because Margo is deeply turned on right now.

I think the laziness and apathy turns her on because they are both traits that resonate within her.

"Ohhh you don't care about your job either? That's soooo hot. Wanna share stories about how much we suck at our respective jobs... perhaps over dinner?"

Or maybe she likes 'rough talk'... Lu Ann actually told her to hush!!

It's the tuxedo. Comic strip ladies love tuxedos. It's a good thing Governor Trog changed into his formal attire for the evening festivities.

If you read Margaret Shulock's "Six Chix" contributions, they're all as blandly retrograde as this strip.

It's pretty clear that she thinks women should just be stupid, submissive cows. Moooooo!

Also, is that supposed to be diner or dinner? And why the reference to smokers? Is Tony Cerio running a diner which only serves couples who smoke? If so, is it gay friendly? Is it listed in "The Best of New York"??

You can tell Margo is turned on by the size of her Adam's apple. She's subtly trying to hide it.

Thanks NonnyMus! I was confused by the Two On A Match comment until I read it again. Two On A Match must be the name of Tony Cerio's Diner. It is very posh...

Being from New Jersey, I did kind of balk at the concept of a romantic diner... but there was so much of today's strip I didn't understand that I just moved on. I suppose I should care, but I don't.

Best part of NYC diners is that they serve alcohol.
