Ruin Everything

Marty... I don't even totally get why it's important to you that Cole be awake, but instead of standing around and shaking your fist dramatically and waiting for him to wake up, you could go and umm just wake him up yourself? Jeez! Maybe this is meant as an insightful, searing criticism of today's youth. Ouch!

Oh my goodness, this one had me snickering all morning! From the near tearful look on Marty's face, to the hilarious fist shake, everything is just too perfect.

What she says kinda reminds me of the Obama meme that's been going around, where the person absurdly blames Obama for anything and everything that goes wrong in their life. Example: "Aw man, the Red Sox lost? Thanks a lot, Obama!!" I think we should start a new meme, blaming everything on Cole. Marty got the ball rolling, we just need to keep it up!

Allen: yes! It's even better because, as far as I can tell, this is the first time Marty has ever blamed Cole for ruining something.

My dad's imminent death is always ruining my life!

I think she's sign-languaging to herself, saying "yes, yes, Marty -- you are sooo right!"

Either that or she's saying she has to potty, but I can't quite tell where her thumb is at.

Maggie

You confused Marty and Tori in your post and tag. I'm not as uptight as the Grammar Dude that has a problem with Megan's lack of capitalization but I can't let this one go.

Cole might have been alive at 6:24 PM, but it's been such a long time Marty has changed into her Canadian traveling attire. Cole most certainly died of his grand mal seizure by now.

How long does Marty lament about Tori being late? I hope we see the alarm clock again. That would be great if Frank drew a detailed clock and calendar in every strip.

@Ken: Yes, you're probably not as uptight as I. I was annoyed today by the "a" instead of "an" in "Maybe this is meant as a insightful, searing criticism of today's youth."

Otherwise, the blog is, as always, hilarious! Thanks, lovely ladies of A3G!

Ah! Grammar Dude and Proper Noun Police (aka Ken): I have made your edits. For posterity. All I can say is: I'm really sleepy in the morning? And I should've updated "a" to "an" when I changed "searing" to "insightful." As for the Tori/Marty mix-up, it cannot be explained. Normally everytime Marty's in the strip, I (mentally) scream "MARTY!!!" like Doc Brown in Back to the Future. Maybe Marty's recent overabundance of tude has gotten me flustered.
