Go Back to Bed

Noooo...! Not another week of Jack and Old Lu Ann talking! I can't stand it! And now we're introducing more boring characters?? I'm beside myself here. What are the chances this Joey character is a talking bloodhound, or a meth addict, or well drawn?

Cathy (or Carol - dooes it matter?) spent the night with Jack, and is still wearing her pink shirt.

How does that work in a world without anything below the waist?

Joey will be a badly drawn baby kangaroo. Joey, Lily and Mary will become friends, showing us that despite our differences and backgrounds, we can all get along.

Maybe Joey is a former teen heart throb that will follow Jack around saying "Whoa!" all the time.

Jack is looking an awful lot like Matt Sampson of the Weather Channel!

I'm not sure whether Joey will be well-drawn or not, but I'm pretty sure that he'll shape-shift and morph into a variety of male-like beings over the course of his time in this strip. His hair color and the color of his clothes are also guaranteed to change multiple times over the course of one A3G day (=five or six monotonous months for you and me!).

Holy schnikes! I just discovered that the LLoA3G also has a secret message when you mouse over the strip! Sadly, this discovery is ten times more satisfying to me than this lame plot.

The thought occurs that Joey is a horse, which might mean that all horse's names at Jack's place have to end with 'y'(Mary, Joey, Horsey?).

I am hoping that I am wrong, but I don't think I am.

There must be great hunks of plot development going on in Shulock's mind, which she doesn't feel the need to share with us. Ellen? Joey? Let's just introduce new characters with little or no explanation, and let us figure it out for ourselves.

fauxprof, my working theory is that Shulock is working out her marriage and divorce issues... and expecting all of us to care.
