Look on the bright side, Carol. You may have lost everyone you've ever loved,
but your hair is full of volume in the first panel. Or it's just slowly stealing it from Tommie.
In the alternate universe of my mind, the logical next panel would be Tommie and Carol drinking margaritas while lip-syncing into their hairbrushes a super cheesy girl power anthem about living, loving, surviving and thriving. "I Will Survive" has been done, I'd take it back to 1999 with "Believe" by Cher. You're welcome for that little earworm.

Well, to be more precise, no one survives. At least not over time. One of those tricky things about being alive.
But, to be even more precise, isn't Jack still alive? I guess what I'm saying is I'm not sure that Carol is effectively making her point.
Also, bring back 'Big Wheel'! Sure, we never actually saw him but that's a low bar to cross in this strip for someone who is ostensibly a major figure in the lives of its protagonists.
Your puny earworms have no power over me - I have the Underdog Theme in my head! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEVsRLhet2k
WEDNESDAY
Maybe Carol would have more luck in love if she turned to face the person she was talking to, rather than always turning away and talking over her shoulder?
Also, Carol says she loves her life. Well, what is her life about? We have no idea, other than that she is in love with Jack Riley and likes to make snarky comments and drink margaritas. (I love those last two things about her!)
And another thing--why does Tommie keep calling Lu Ann "Carol"?
No matter how hard I try
Jack keeps pushing me aside and I CAN'T BREAK THROUGH
